 Sound Analysis Funny Games:  1. Early on it shows that the family are into classical music. Which can give the impression that they are an upper/middle-class family. It also looks like they more of a conservative family, intelligent family. 2. The classical music describes the family, being a conservative, intelligent family. And when it switches to hard metal rock music it firsts shows me the kid taste of music but it is also foreshadowing the narrative of the movie 3. Because of the use of music I feel like the narrative will develop to be narrative of which the bad things will happen to the family or the kid is going to experience some sort of nightmare-ish experience which leads to a horror narrative . The denotation is a man holding a gun but what I am really interested in is the connotation and the index of this image. The connotation of this image in my perspective is the man ready to kill someone, this connotation is really similar to my index meaning. That he is practising or going to kill someone. Props, lighting and setting: The interesting thing about this image is the way the scene is set up. By analysing the props and setting , we can see that he is in an apartment with a mirror behind him. The lighting is used more low-key, that is to focus on the environment around him and the gun.
